Hells Gate is the only National Park in Kenya that you are allowed to get out of the vehicle walk through. Our driver, who had never been before, was quite nervous about that. He seemed to think I was going to run into a herd of buffalo, or something.

The lower gorge has formed rather quickly, over the past fifteen years or so, do to redirection of hot water from the geothermal plant, over the soft sandstone.

A new mall in the rich part of Nairobi... where all the white folks live. The neighborhood is called Karen, named after Karen "Out of Africa" Blixen.
The giraffes at the Giraffe Center in Nairobi are of the Rothschild variety... a very rare species.
A variety of weavers, on the nature hike by the Giraffe Center.
Walking through the woodland nature trail. Suddenly, about 20 ft. ahead, a giraffe burst out of the brush and crossed the trail...
As big as she is, she was nearly completely silent as she passed around us through the brush...
We later found out the her name is Nellie, and she was one of the giraffes from the center.
